Romans 12:1

For this reason I make request to you, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you will give your bodies as a living offering, holy, pleasing to God, which is the worship it is right for you to give him.

Romans 12:2

And let not your behaviour be like that of this world, but be changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of God.

Romans 12:3

But I say to every one of you, through the grace given to me, not to have an over-high opinion of himself, but to have wise thoughts, as God has given to every one a measure of faith.

Romans 12:4

For, as we have a number of parts in one body, but all the parts have not the same use,

Romans 12:5

So we, though we are a number of persons, are one body in Christ, and are dependent on one another;

Romans 12:6

And having different qualities by reason of the grace given to us, such as the quality of a prophet, let it be made use of in relation to the measure of our faith;

Romans 12:7

Or the position of a Deacon of the church, let a man give himself to it; or he who has the power of teaching, let him make use of it;



Romans 12:8

He who has the power of comforting, let him do so; he who gives, let him give freely; he who has the power of ruling, let him do it with a serious mind; he who has mercy on others, let it be with joy.

Romans 12:9

Let love be without deceit. Be haters of what is evil; keep your minds fixed on what is good.

Romans 12:10

Be kind to one another with a brother's love, putting others before yourselves in honour;

Romans 12:11

Be not slow in your work, but be quick in spirit, as the Lord's servants;

Romans 12:12

Being glad in hope, quiet in trouble, at all times given to prayer,

Romans 12:13

Giving to the needs of the saints, ready to take people into your houses.

Romans 12:14

Give blessing and not curses to those who are cruel to you.



Romans 12:15

Take part in the joy of those who are glad, and in the grief of those who are sorrowing.

Romans 12:16

Be in harmony with one another. Do not have a high opinion of yourselves, but be in agreement with common people. Do not give yourselves an air of wisdom.

Romans 12:17

Do not give evil for evil to any man. Let all your business be well ordered in the eyes of all men.

Romans 12:18

As far as it is possible for you be at peace with all men.

Romans 12:19

Do not give punishment for wrongs done to you, dear brothers, but give way to the wrath of God; for it is said in the holy Writings, Punishment is mine, I will give reward, says the Lord.

Romans 12:20

But if one who has hate for you is in need of food or of drink, give it to him, for in so doing you will put coals of fire on his head.

Romans 12:21

Do not let evil overcome you, but overcome evil by good.

The Apocrypha books are 14 books that were included between the old and new testaments in the original King James Version of the bible and many others. Church leaders agreed that these books were valuable for instruction in life and manners, but did not all agree that they should be considered cannon.

God is Love

Let us love one another, for love comes from God and every one who loves is a child of God and knows God. He who loves not man does not know God, for God is love. God showed his love for us, for he sent his only Son into the world that through him we might have life. Love the stranger.


In Mark 12:30 Jesus said; And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.

And the second Mark 12:31 [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Lost Books

The Gospel of The Birth of Mary was attributed to St. Matthew and was received as genuine and authentic by early Christians. It is to be found in the works of Jerome, a Father of the Church in the 4th century and is translated from his collection.


The Book of Enoch is ascribed to the great-grandfather of Noah and is included in the cannon of some churches. It describes the fall of the angels (watchers), visions of heaven and hell and the birth of Noah. Quotes from the book of Enoch are found in the New Testament.


The First Book of Adam and Eve. Books 1 begins immediately after the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. We learn about the fall but also of the promise to save Adam and his decendents. The story depicts mans struggle against evil, the devil and sin.


The Second Book of Adam and Eve. Discusses Adam's sorrow and death. The history of the patriarchs who lived before the Flood until the birth of Noah; the children of Seth on Mount Hermon and Cain's death. It ends with the testament and translation of Enoch.


The Infancy of Jesus Christ (Infancy Gospel of Thomas) relates the life of Jesus from the ages of five to twelve. It is believed that the document was transcribed from oral traditions some time prior to the second century. The ancient writing is possibly Gnostic and many early church leaders considered it heretical.
