Deuteronomy 33:6

"Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few."

Ecclesiastes 1:13

I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under the sky. It is a heavy burden that God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.

Ecclesiastes 2:3

I searched in my heart how to cheer my flesh with wine, my heart yet guiding me with wisdom, and how to lay hold of folly, until I might see what it was good for the sons of men that they should do under heaven all the days of their lives.

Ecclesiastes 2:8

I also gathered silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and of the provinces. I got myself male and female singers, and the delights of the sons of men--musical instruments, and that of all sorts.

Ecclesiastes 2:25

For who can eat, or who can have enjoyment, more than I?

Ecclesiastes 3:10

I have seen the burden which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.

Ecclesiastes 3:14

I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him.

Ecclesiastes 3:18

I said in my heart, "As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

Ecclesiastes 3:19

For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals: for all is vanity.

Ecclesiastes 4:4

Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man's neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Ecclesiastes 4:8

There is one who is alone, and he has neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with wealth. "For whom then, do I labor, and deprive my soul of enjoyment?" This also is vanity. Yes, it is a miserable business.

Ecclesiastes 6:1

There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is heavy on men:

Ecclesiastes 7:2

It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men, and the living should take this to heart.

Ecclesiastes 8:5

Whoever keeps the commandment shall not come to harm, and his wise heart will know the time and procedure.

Ecclesiastes 8:11

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Ecclesiastes 8:14

There is a vanity which is done on the earth, that there are righteous men to whom it happens according to the work of the wicked. Again, there are wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous. I said that this also is vanity.

Ecclesiastes 8:15

Then I commended mirth, because a man has no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be joyful: for that will accompany him in his labor all the days of his life which God has given him under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 9:3

This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that there is one event to all: yes also, the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

Ecclesiastes 9:8

Let your garments be always white, and don't let your head lack oil.

Ecclesiastes 9:11

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

Ecclesiastes 9:12

For man also doesn't know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

Ecclesiastes 9:14

There was a little city, and few men within it; and a great king came against it, besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it.

Ecclesiastes 11:9

Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

Ecclesiastes 12:3

in the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look out of the windows are darkened,

Ecclesiastes 12:13

This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

Ephesians 1:16

don't cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,

Ephesians 2:15

having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;

Ephesians 3:5

which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

Ephesians 3:9

and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;

Ephesians 3:21

to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 4:8

Therefore he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."

Ephesians 4:14

that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

Ephesians 5:3

But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

Ephesians 6:2

"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise:

Ephesians 6:6

not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Ephesians 6:7

with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;

Ephesians 6:24

Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.

Additions to Esther 3:6

There were hangings of white, green, and blue material, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and marble pillars. The couches were of gold and silver, on a pavement of red, white, yellow, and black marble.

Additions to Esther 3:9

Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to King Ahasuerus.

Additions to Esther 3:12

But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by the eunuchs. Therefore the king was very angry, and his anger burned in him.

Additions to Esther 3:13

Then the king said to the wise men, who knew the times, (for it was the king's custom to consult those who knew law and judgment;

Additions to Esther 3:17

For this deed of the queen will become known to all women, causing them to show contempt for their husbands, when it is reported, 'King Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she didn't come.'

Additions to Esther 3:19

If it please the king, let a royal commandment go from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, so that it cannot be altered, that Vashti may never again come before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate to another who is better than she.

Additions to Esther 4:3

Let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the beautiful young virgins to Susa, the palatial city, to the women's house, to the custody of Hegai the king's eunuch, keeper of the women. Let cosmetics be given them;

Additions to Esther 4:8

So it happened, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together to Susa, the palatial city, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken into the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

Additions to Esther 4:9

The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him. He quickly gave her cosmetics and her portions of food, and the seven choice maidens who were to be given her out of the king's house. He moved her and her maidens to the best place in the women's house.

Additions to Esther 4:11

Mordecai walked every day in front of the court of the women's house, to find out how Esther did, and what would become of her.

Additions to Esther 4:12

Each young woman's turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after her purification for twelve months (for so were the days of their purification accomplished, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet fragrances and with preparations for beautifying women).

Additions to Esther 4:13

The young woman then came to the king in this way: whatever she desired was given her to go with her out of the women's house to the king's house.

Additions to Esther 4:14

In the evening she went, and on the next day she returned into the second women's house, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch, who kept the concubines. She came in to the king no more, unless the king delighted in her and she was called by name.

Additions to Esther 4:15

Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Esther obtained favor in the sight of all those who looked at her.

Additions to Esther 4:17

The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she obtained favor and kindness in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown on her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Additions to Esther 5:3

Then the king's servants, who were inside the king's gate, said to Mordecai, "Why do you disobey the king's commandment?"

Additions to Esther 5:13

Letters were sent by couriers into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to plunder their possessions.

Additions to Esther 6:2

"After I became lord over many nations and had dominion over the whole world, not lifted up with presumption of my authority, but carrying myself always with equity and mildness, I purposed to settle my subjects continually in a quiet life, and make my kingdom peaceable and open for passage to the utmost coasts, to renew peace, which is desired of all men.

Additions to Esther 6:4

declared to us that in all nations throughout the world there was scattered a certain malicious people, who had laws contrary to all nations and continually despised the commandments of kings, so that the uniting of our kingdoms, honorably intended by us, cannot go forward.

Additions to Esther 6:5

Seeing this, we understand that this people alone is continually in opposition unto all men, differing in the strange ways of their laws and bringing about evil to our state, working all the mischief they can, so that our kingdom may not be firmly established:

Additions to Esther 6:9

The couriers went forth in haste by the king's commandment, and the decree was given out in Susa, the palatial city. The king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Susa was perplexed.

Additions to Esther 7:3

In every province, wherever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews with fasting and weeping and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

Additions to Esther 8:2

And she put away her glorious apparel, and put on the garments of anguish and mourning; and instead of precious ointments, she covered her head with ashes and dung; and she humbled her body greatly, and all the aspects of her beauty she covered with her torn hair.

Additions to Esther 8:16

You know my necessity, for I abhor the sign of my high estate, which is upon my head in the days when I show myself, and that I abhor it as a menstruous rag, and that I wear it not when I am in private by myself.

Additions to Esther 9:1

And on the third day, when she ended her prayers, she put away her mourning garments and put on her glorious apparel.

Additions to Esther 9:10

You shall not die, though our commandment be general. Come near."

Additions to Esther 10:13

Haman recounted to Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him."

Additions to Esther 12:11

In those letters, the king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together, and to defend their life, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to plunder their possessions,

Additions to Esther 13:4

And they take, not only thankfulness away from among men, but also, lifted up with the glorious words of lewd persons who were never good, they think to escape the justice of God, who sees all things and hates evil.

Additions to Esther 13:8

And we must take care for the time to come, that our kingdom may be quiet and peaceable for all men,

Additions to Esther 13:24

Therefore, every city and country whatsoever, which does not do according to these things, shall be destroyed without mercy with fire and sword and shall be made not only unacceptable for men, but also most hateful to wild beasts and fowl for ever."

Additions to Esther 14:1

Now in the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the month, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to being put into execution, on the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to conquer them, (but it was turned out the opposite happened, that the Jews conquered those who hated them),

Additions to Esther 14:6

In Susa, the palatial city, the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men.

Additions to Esther 14:12

The king said to Esther the queen, "The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Susa, the palatial city, including the ten sons of Haman; what then have they done in the rest of the king's provinces! Now what is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your further request? It shall be done."

Additions to Esther 14:15

The Jews who were in Susa gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and killed three hundred men in Susa; but they did not lay their hand on the spoil.

Additions to Esther 14:32

The commandment of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.

Additions to Esther 15:11

And these two lots came at the hour and time and day of judgment, before God among all nations.
