Ezekiel 40:3

He brought me there; and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

Ezekiel 40:4

The man said to me, Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you; for, to the intent that I may show them to you, you are brought here: declare all that you see to the house of Israel.

Ezekiel 40:16

There were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate all around, and likewise to the arches; and windows were around inward; and on [each] post were palm trees.

Ezekiel 40:38

A room with its door was by the posts at the gates; there they washed the burnt offering.

Ezekiel 40:42

There were four tables for the burnt offering, of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; whereupon they laid the instruments with which they killed the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

Ezekiel 40:43

The hooks, a handbreadth long, were fastened within all around: and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.

Ezekiel 41:13

So he measured the house, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;



Ezekiel 41:16

the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, over against the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and [from] the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),

It was made with cherubim and palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces;

He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed all around.

He measured on the north side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around.

He measured on the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

Ezekiel 43:2

Behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory.



Ezekiel 43:22

On the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bull.

Ezekiel 43:23

When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a young bull without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.

Ezekiel 43:25

Seven days you shall prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bull, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.

Ezekiel 44:5

the LORD said to me, Son of man, mark well, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I tell you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all its laws; and mark well the entrance of the house, with every exit of the sanctuary.

Ezekiel 44:17

It shall be that, when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come on them, while they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.

Ezekiel 44:18

They shall have linen tires on their heads, and shall have linen breeches on their waists; they shall not clothe themselves with [anything that causes] sweat.

Ezekiel 44:19

When they go forth into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they minister, and lay them in the holy rooms; and they shall put on other garments, that they not sanctify the people with their garments.



Ezekiel 45:6

You shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and twenty-five thousand long, side by side with the offering of the holy portion: it shall be for the whole house of Israel.

Ezekiel 45:18

Thus says the Lord the LORD: In the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, you shall take a young bull without blemish; and you shall cleanse the sanctuary.

Ezekiel 45:23

The seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bulls and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a male goat daily for a sin offering.

Ezekiel 46:4

The burnt offering that the prince shall offer to the LORD shall be on the Sabbath day six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish;

Ezekiel 46:6

On the day of the new moon it shall be a young bull without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram; they shall be without blemish:

Ezekiel 46:10

The prince, when they go in, shall go in with of them; and when they go out, he shall go out.

Ezekiel 46:13

You shall prepare a lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to the LORD daily: morning by morning you shall prepare it.



Ezekiel 46:14

You shall prepare a meal offering with it morning by morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of a hin of oil, to moisten the fine flour; a meal offering to the LORD continually by a perpetual ordinance.

Ezekiel 47:3

When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.

Ezekiel 47:12

By the river on its bank, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall its fruit fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because its waters issue out of the sanctuary; and its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for healing.

Ezekiel 47:22

It shall happen, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you and to the aliens who live among you, who shall father children among you; and they shall be to you as the native-born among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

Ezekiel 48:20

All the offering shall be twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand: you shall offer the holy offering foursquare, with the possession of the city.

Ezekiel 48:34

At the west side four thousand and five hundred [reeds], with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.

Ezra 1:3

Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.



Ezra 1:4

Whoever is left, in any place where he lives, let the men of his place help him with silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'"

Ezra 1:6

All those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

Ezra 2:63

Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to have the oversight of the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brothers the Levites.

Ezra 3:10

When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their clothing with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the order of David king of Israel.

Ezra 3:11

They sang one to another in praising and giving thanks to the LORD, "For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel." All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Ezra 3:12

But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' [houses], the old men who had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:

Ezra 3:13

so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people; for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

Ezra 4:2

then they drew near to Zerubbabel, and to the heads of fathers' [houses], and said to them, "Let us build with you; for we seek your God, as you do; and we sacrifice to him since the days of Esar Haddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here."

Ezra 4:3

But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers' [houses] of Israel, said to them, "You have nothing to do with us in building a house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to the LORD, the God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us."

Ezra 4:15

that search may be made in the book of the records of your fathers: so you shall find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful to kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time; for which cause was this city laid waste.

Ezra 5:2

Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of God, helping them.

Ezra 5:8

Be it known to the king, that we went into the province of Judah, to the house of the great God, which is built with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls; and this work goes on with diligence and prospers in their hands.

Ezra 6:4

with three courses of great stones, and a course of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house.

Ezra 6:8

Moreover I make a decree what you shall do to these elders of the Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the River, expenses be given with all diligence to these men, that they be not hindered.

Ezra 6:9

That which they have need of, both young bulls, and rams, and lambs, for burnt offerings to the God of heaven; [also] wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the word of the priests who are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail;

Ezra 6:12

and the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples who shall put forth their hand to alter [the same], to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with all diligence.

Ezra 6:13

Then Tattenai, the governor beyond the River, Shetharbozenai, and their companions, because that Darius the king had sent, did accordingly with all diligence.

Ezra 6:16

The children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.

Ezra 6:22

and kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

Ezra 7:13

I make a decree, that all those of the people of Israel, and their priests and the Levites, in my realm, who are minded of their own free will to go to Jerusalem, go with you.

Ezra 7:16

and all the silver and gold that you shall find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem;

Ezra 7:17

therefore you shall with all diligence buy with this money bulls, rams, lambs, with their meal offerings and their drink offerings, and shall offer them on the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.

Ezra 7:18

Whatever shall seem good to you and to your brothers to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, do that after the will of your God.

Ezra 7:21

I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done with all diligence,

Ezra 7:22

to one hundred talents of silver, and to one hundred measures of wheat, and to one hundred baths of wine, and to one hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.

Ezra 7:26

Whoever will not do the law of your God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed on him with all diligence, whether it be to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Ezra 7:28

and has extended loving kindness to me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. I was strengthened according to the hand of the LORD my God on me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

Of the sons of Joab, Obadiah the son of Jehiel; and with him two hundred and eighteen males.

Of the sons of Bebai, Zechariah the son of Bebai; and with him twenty-eight males.

Ezra 8:12

Of the sons of Azgad, Johanan the son of Hakkatan; and with him one hundred ten males.

Ezra 8:13

Of the sons of Adonikam, [who were] the last; and these are their names: Eliphelet, Jeuel, and Shemaiah; and with them sixty males.

Ezra 8:14

Of the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zabbud; and with them seventy males.

Ezra 8:18

According to the good hand of our God on us they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brothers, eighteen;

Ezra 8:19

and Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brothers and their sons, twenty;

Ezra 8:24

Then I set apart twelve of the chiefs of the priests, even Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers with them,

On the fourth day the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God into the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, the Levite;

Ezra 9:2

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed have mixed themselves with the peoples of the lands. Yes, the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this trespass."

Ezra 9:5

At the evening offering I arose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn; and I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God;

Ezra 9:11

which you have commanded by your servants the prophets, saying, 'The land, to which you go to possess it, is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness.

Ezra 9:14

shall we again break your commandments, and join in affinity with the peoples that do these abominations? Wouldn't you be angry with us until you had consumed us, so that there should be no remnant, nor any to escape?

Ezra 10:3

Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God. Let it be done according to the law.

Ezra 10:4

Arise; for the matter belongs to you, and we are with you. Be courageous, and do it."

Ezra 10:8

and that whoever didn't come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the assembly of the captivity.

Ezra 10:9

Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together to Jerusalem within the three days; it was the ninth month, on the twentieth [day] of the month: and all the people sat in the broad place before the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.

Ezra 10:12

Then all the assembly answered with a loud voice, "As you have said concerning us, so must we do.

Ezra 10:14

Let now our princes be appointed for all the assembly, and let all those who are in our cities who have married foreign women come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God be turned from us, until this matter is resolved."

Ezra 10:16

The children of the captivity did so. Ezra the priest, [with] certain heads of fathers' [houses], after their fathers' houses, and all of them by their names, were set apart; and they sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

Ezra 10:17

They made an end with all the men who had married foreign women by the first day of the first month.

Genesis 6:9

This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.

The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.

You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.

But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.

Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.

Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them."

Genesis 7:1

the LORD said to Noah, "Come with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.

Genesis 7:2

You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.

Genesis 7:7

Noah went into the ship with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, because of the waters of the flood.

Genesis 7:13

In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ship;

They went to Noah into the ship, by pairs of all flesh with the breath of life in them.

Genesis 7:23

Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ship.

Genesis 8:1

God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.

Genesis 8:16

"Go out of the ship, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you.

Genesis 8:17

Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth."

Genesis 8:18

Noah went forth, with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives with him.

Genesis 9:2

The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that the ground teems with, and all the fish of the sea are delivered into your hand.

Genesis 9:4

But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat.

God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,

"As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,

and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.

I will establish my covenant with you: all flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth."

Genesis 9:12

God said, "This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

Genesis 9:21

He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.

Genesis 11:6

the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.

In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

Genesis 14:17

The king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).

Genesis 14:24

I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion."

I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve. Afterward they will come out with great wealth,

Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying,

Genesis 17:4

"As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.

Genesis 17:12

He who is eight days old will be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your seed.

Genesis 17:13

He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your money, must be circumcised. My covenant will be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Genesis 17:19

God said, "No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

Genesis 17:21

But my covenant I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year."

Genesis 17:22

When he finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

Genesis 17:23

Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money; every male among the men of Abraham's house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the same day, as God had said to him.

Genesis 17:27

All the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money of a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

Genesis 18:12

Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

Genesis 18:16

The men rose up from there, and looked toward Sodom. Abraham went with them to see them on their way.

Genesis 18:23

Abraham drew near, and said, "Will you consume the righteous with the wicked?

Genesis 18:24

What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are in it?

Genesis 18:25

Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn't the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Genesis 18:26

the LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sake."

Genesis 18:33

the LORD went his way, as soon as he had finished communing with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

Genesis 19:1

The two angels came to Sodom at evening. Lot sat in the gate of Sodom. Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them. He bowed himself with his face to the earth,

Genesis 19:3

He urged them greatly, and they came in with him, and entered into his house. He made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

Genesis 19:5

They called to Lot, and said to him, "Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may have sex with them."

They said, "Stand back!" Then they said, "This one fellow came in to live as a foreigner, and he appoints himself a judge. Now will we deal worse with you, than with them!" They pressed hard on the man Lot, and drew near to break the door.

Genesis 19:11

They struck the men who were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

Genesis 19:30

Lot went up out of Zoar, and lived in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he was afraid to live in Zoar. He lived in a cave with his two daughters.

Genesis 19:32

Come, let's make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve our father's seed."

Genesis 19:33

They made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father. He didn't know when she lay down, nor when she arose.

Genesis 19:34

It came to pass on the next day, that the firstborn said to the younger, "Behold, I lay last night with my father. Let us make him drink wine again, tonight. You go in, and lie with him, that we may preserve our father's seed."

Genesis 19:35

They made their father drink wine that night also. The younger went and lay with him. He didn't know when she lay down, nor when she got up.

Genesis 19:36

Thus both of Lot's daughters were with child by their father.

God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn't allow you to touch her.

To Sarah he said, "Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated."

Genesis 21:6

Sarah said, "God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me."

So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Abimelech rose up with Phicol, the captain of his army, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

Genesis 22:3

Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son. He split the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went to the place of which God had told him.

Genesis 22:5

Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I will go yonder. We will worship, and come back to you."

Genesis 22:12

He said, "Don't lay your hand on the boy, neither do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me."

and said, "I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,

"I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight."

God is Love

Let us love one another, for love comes from God and every one who loves is a child of God and knows God. He who loves not man does not know God, for God is love. God showed his love for us, for he sent his only Son into the world that through him we might have life. Love the stranger.

Lost Books

The Gospel of The Birth of Mary was attributed to St. Matthew and was received as genuine and authentic by early Christians. It is to be found in the works of Jerome, a Father of the Church in the 4th century and is translated from his collection.


The Book of Enoch is ascribed to the great-grandfather of Noah and is included in the cannon of some churches. It describes the fall of the angels (watchers), visions of heaven and hell and the birth of Noah. Quotes from the book of Enoch are found in the New Testament.


The First Book of Adam and Eve. Books 1 begins immediately after the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. We learn about the fall but also of the promise to save Adam and his decendents. The story depicts mans struggle against evil, the devil and sin.


The Second Book of Adam and Eve. Discusses Adam's sorrow and death. The history of the patriarchs who lived before the Flood until the birth of Noah; the children of Seth on Mount Hermon and Cain's death. It ends with the testament and translation of Enoch.


The Infancy of Jesus Christ (Infancy Gospel of Thomas) relates the life of Jesus from the ages of five to twelve. It is believed that the document was transcribed from oral traditions some time prior to the second century. The ancient writing is possibly Gnostic and many early church leaders considered it heretical.
