Acts 18:25

This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John.

Acts 19:8

He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

Acts 19:21

Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome."

Acts 19:27

Not only is there danger that this our trade come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing, and her majesty destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships."

Acts 19:32

Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most of them didn't know why they had come together.

Acts 19:36

Seeing then that these things can't be denied, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rash.

Acts 19:39

But if you seek anything about other matters, it will be settled in the regular assembly.



Acts 20:20

how I didn't shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,

Acts 20:24

But these things don't count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

Acts 20:25

"Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching the Kingdom of God, will see my face no more.

Acts 20:30

Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

Acts 20:33

I coveted no one's silver, or gold, or clothing.

Acts 20:35

In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

Acts 20:36

When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.



Acts 21:12

When we heard these things, both we and they of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

Acts 21:19

When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked among the Gentiles through his ministry.

Acts 21:24

Take them, and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the law.

Acts 21:25

But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality."

Acts 21:34

Some shouted one thing, and some another, among the crowd. When he couldn't find out the truth because of the noise, he commanded him to be brought into the barracks.

Acts 22:10

I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' The Lord said to me, 'Arise, and go into Damascus. There you will be told about all things which are appointed for you to do.'

Acts 23:14

They came to the chief priests and the elders, and said, "We have bound ourselves under a great curse, to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.



Acts 23:17

Paul summoned one of the centurions, and said, "Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him."

Acts 23:18

So he took him, and brought him to the commanding officer, and said, "Paul, the prisoner, summoned me and asked me to bring this young man to you, who has something to tell you."

Acts 23:22

So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, "Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me."

Acts 23:29

I found him to be accused about questions of their law, but not to be charged with anything worthy of death or of imprisonment.

Acts 24:8

By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him."

Acts 24:9

The Jews also joined in the attack, affirming that these things were so.

Acts 24:13

Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.



Acts 24:14

But this I confess to you, that after the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;

They ought to have been here before you, and to make accusation, if they had anything against me.

Acts 24:21

unless it is for this one thing that I cried standing among them, 'Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged before you today!'"

Acts 25:5

"Let them therefore," said he, "that are in power among you go down with me, and if there is anything wrong in the man, let them accuse him."

Acts 25:9

But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem, and be judged by me there concerning these things?"

Acts 25:11

For if I have done wrong, and have committed anything worthy of death, I don't refuse to die; but if none of those things is true that they accuse me of, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!"

Acts 25:18

Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such things as I supposed;



Acts 25:20

Being perplexed how to inquire concerning these things, I asked whether he was willing to go to Jerusalem and there be judged concerning these matters.

Acts 25:25

But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and as he himself appealed to the emperor I determined to send him.

Acts 25:26

Of whom I have no certain thing to write to my lord. Therefore I have brought him forth before you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, that, after examination, I may have something to write.

Acts 26:2

"I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am to make my defense before you this day concerning all the things that I am accused by the Jews,

Acts 26:9

"I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Acts 26:11

Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Acts 26:13

at noon, O king, I saw on the way a light from the sky, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.

Acts 26:16

But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen, and of the things which I will reveal to you;

Acts 26:22

Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,

Acts 26:26

For the king knows of these things, to whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him, for this has not been done in a corner.

Acts 26:31

When they had withdrawn, they spoke one to another, saying, "This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds."

Acts 27:11

But the centurion gave more heed to the master and to the owner of the ship than to those things which were spoken by Paul.

Acts 27:18

As we labored exceedingly with the storm, the next day they began to throw things overboard.

While the day was coming on, Paul begged them all to take some food, saying, "This day is the fourteenth day that you wait and continue fasting, having taken nothing.

and the rest should follow, some on planks, and some on other things from the ship. So it happened that they all escaped safely to the land.

But they expected that he would have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing bad happen to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

They also honored us with many honors, and when we sailed, they put on board the things that we needed.

Touching at Syracuse, we stayed there three days.

Acts 28:17

It happened that after three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. When they had come together, he said to them, "I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people, or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,

Acts 28:19

But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything about which to accuse my nation.

Acts 28:22

But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against."

Acts 28:24

Some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.

Acts 28:31

preaching the Kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hindrance.

Amos 1:3

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Damascus, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron;

Will a lion roar in the thicket, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out of his den, if he has caught nothing?

Can a bird fall in a trap on the earth, where no snare is set for him? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when there is nothing to catch?

Surely the Lord the LORD will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

but don't seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and don't pass to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.

Amos 6:13

you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, 'Haven't we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?'

Colossians 1:16

For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.

whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;

having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:17

which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.

Colossians 2:18

Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Colossians 2:23

Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren't of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Colossians 3:1

If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:2

Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

Colossians 3:6

for which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

Colossians 3:14

Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

Colossians 3:20

Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.

Colossians 3:22

Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.

Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;

Colossians 4:9

together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you everything that is going on here.

Daniel 1:2

The Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god: and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Daniel 2:5

The king answered the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if you don't make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

Daniel 2:8

The king answered, I know of a certainty that you would gain time, because you see the thing is gone from me.

Daniel 2:10

The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man on the earth who can show the king's matter, because no king, lord, or ruler, has asked such a thing of any magician, or enchanter, or Chaldean.

Daniel 2:11

It is a rare thing that the king requires, and there is no other who can show it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.

Daniel 2:15

he answered Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so urgent from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

Daniel 2:17

Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:

Daniel 2:22

he reveals the deep and secret things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

Daniel 2:35

Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them: and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Daniel 2:40

The fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron that crushes all these, shall it break in pieces and crush.

Daniel 3:29

Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other god who is able to deliver after this sort.

Daniel 4:4

I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at rest in my house, and flourishing in my palace.

Daniel 4:33

The same hour was the thing fulfilled on Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair was grown like eagles' [feathers], and his nails like birds' [claws].

Daniel 4:35

All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or ask him, What are you doing?

Daniel 5:15

Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known to me its interpretation; but they could not show the interpretation of the thing.

Daniel 5:26

This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God has numbered your kingdom, and brought it to an end;

Daniel 6:4

Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion nor fault, because he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Daniel 6:12

Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king's decree: Haven't you signed an decree, that every man who shall make petition to any god or man within thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which doesn't alter.

Daniel 6:17

A stone was brought, and laid on the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel.

Daniel 7:8

I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Daniel 7:9

I saw until thrones were placed, and one who was ancient of days sat: his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, [and] its wheels burning fire.

Daniel 7:16

I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

Daniel 7:20

and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other [horn] which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows.

Daniel 7:25

He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

Daniel 8:4

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no animals could stand before him, neither was there any who could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.

Daniel 9:2

in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years about which the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.

Daniel 9:17

Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant, and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

Daniel 9:26

After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined.

Daniel 10:1

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

Daniel 11:20

Then shall stand up in his place one who shall cause a tax collector to pass through the kingdom to maintain its glory; but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

Daniel 11:36

The king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods; and he shall prosper until the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done.

Daniel 11:38

But in his place shall he honor the god of fortresses; and a god whom his fathers didn't know shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

Daniel 11:43

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

Daniel 12:3

Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

Daniel 12:7

I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

Daniel 12:8

I heard, but I didn't understand: then I said, my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?

Deuteronomy 1:14

You answered me, and said, "The thing which you have spoken is good [for us] to do."

I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.

Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you an engraved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.

When you shall father children, and children's children, and you shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make an engraved image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD your God, to provoke him to anger;

When you are in oppression, and all these things are come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God, and listen to his voice:

Deuteronomy 4:32

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been [any such thing] as this great thing is, or has been heard like it?

Deuteronomy 5:8

"You shall not make an engraved image for yourself, [nor] any likeness [of anything] that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, in which you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.

Deuteronomy 5:21

"Neither shall you covet your neighbor's wife; neither shall you desire your neighbor's house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."

and houses full of all good things, which you didn't fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn't dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn't plant, and you shall eat and be full;

You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.

a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.

He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.

You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;

You shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

If the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to put his name there, is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which the LORD has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.

Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which the LORD shall choose:

Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

then you shall inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in the midst of you,

All winged creeping things are unclean to you: they shall not be eaten.

You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself: you may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner: for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

Deuteronomy 14:27

The Levite who is within your gates, you shall not forsake him; for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

Deuteronomy 14:28

At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall lay it up within your gates:

Deuteronomy 14:29

and the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the foreigner living among you, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

Deuteronomy 15:7

If a poor man, one of your brothers, is with you within any of your gates in your land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother;

Deuteronomy 15:9

Beware that there not be a base thought in your heart, saying, "The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand;" and your eye be evil against your poor brother, and you give him nothing; and he cry to the LORD against you, and it be sin to you.

Deuteronomy 15:10

You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him; because that for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work, and in all that you put your hand to.

Deuteronomy 15:14

you shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, and out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress; as the LORD your God has blessed you, you shall give to him.

Deuteronomy 15:15

You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you: therefore I command you this thing today.

Deuteronomy 15:22

You shall eat it within your gates: the unclean and the clean [shall eat it] alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.

Deuteronomy 16:5

You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you;

Deuteronomy 16:11

and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

You shall keep the feast of tents seven days, after that you have gathered in from your threshing floor and from your winepress:

Lost Books

The Gospel of The Birth of Mary was attributed to St. Matthew and was received as genuine and authentic by early Christians. It is to be found in the works of Jerome, a Father of the Church in the 4th century and is translated from his collection.


The Book of Enoch is ascribed to the great-grandfather of Noah and is included in the cannon of some churches. It describes the fall of the angels (watchers), visions of heaven and hell and the birth of Noah. Quotes from the book of Enoch are found in the New Testament.


The First Book of Adam and Eve. Books 1 begins immediately after the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. We learn about the fall but also of the promise to save Adam and his decendents. The story depicts mans struggle against evil, the devil and sin.


The Second Book of Adam and Eve. Discusses Adam's sorrow and death. The history of the patriarchs who lived before the Flood until the birth of Noah; the children of Seth on Mount Hermon and Cain's death. It ends with the testament and translation of Enoch.


The Infancy of Jesus Christ (Infancy Gospel of Thomas) relates the life of Jesus from the ages of five to twelve. It is believed that the document was transcribed from oral traditions some time prior to the second century. The ancient writing is possibly Gnostic and many early church leaders considered it heretical.
